New Pokémon Snap 4-Star Photos

When under the influence of different items, Pokémon tend to exhibit unusual behavior – resulting in 4-star photos. Following is a detailed list of items that are needed to take 4-star photos in New Pokémon Snap:

Fluffruit
When thrown, some Pokémon will rush to eat it while others will try to dodge it – both instances make excellent photos.

Illumina Orbs
First of all, it’s important to mention that there’s a different colored Illumina Orb for each island. While an Illumina Orb can be thrown directly at a Pokémon, its much better use is to throw it at a Crystalbloom Flower. This results in the flower shining brightly and a Pokémon reacting to it which can result in a 4-star photo.

Melody
Since it’s got a decent range, it can awaken nearby Pokémon for a group photo. For us, using Melody to get a 4-star photo has always been consistent. After all, who doesn’t love dancing Pokémon?

Scan
This item scans the entirety of an area for interesting POIs that can be interacted with to have Pokémon behave differently. Simply press and hold ‘X’ on the green dots to learn more about them.

Lastly, it’s important to keep in mind that it all comes down to RNG in the end. While the items mentioned above definitely help capture 4-star photos, nothing is one hundred percent guaranteed.
