MSI Z490 MEG Unify motherboard models have been leaked. These include a full-sized ATX model and a smaller ITX motherboard for small form factor gaming PCs. You can check them out here!
MSI Z490 MEG Unify Motherboards
First, we have the ATX model. The motherboard comes in black with hints of silver. That matches the reinforced PCIe slots and gives it a very nice theme. You have the MSI logos and the dragon on top of the integrated I/O shield. The motherboard seems to come with 3 M.2 slots and like the Asus ROG Maximus XII Apex Z490, it comes with 8+8 CPU connectors. So you can expect to see some serious overclocking numbers.
There are 3 PCI slots and 4 RAM slots. Gigabyte has confirmed that the Z490 motherboards will support PCIe 4.0 but that is not a feature for the upcoming 10th generation of Intel CPUs. The 11th generation will support this feature. So you are paying for a feature that is not out yet.
Next, we have the MSI Z490I MEG Unify which is an ITX motherboard ideal for small form factor gaming PCs. You can check out the motherboard below:
Like its bigger brother, the color scheme is the same and there is plenty of armor. while we are not sure it looks like there is an M.2 slot under the CPU, under all that armor. There are only 2 RAM slots but the motherboard does come with integrated Wi-Fi.
The smaller form factor means that you only get a single PCIe slot and the CPU power connector is limited to 8-pins. This means that overclocking is going to be limited indeed. There is an M.2 slot at the back of the motherboard as well.
If you are interested in buying this motherboard then you can order one from Amazon.
Let us know what you think about these MSI Z490 MEG Unify motherboards and whether or not you are interested in upgrading to the 10th generation of Intel CPUs when they come out.
