One of the most basic mechanics of Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord is party management. By recruiting and uploading new soldiers, your military strengthens increasingly, which leads to you becoming a person of importance in Calradia. In this Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord Party Management guide, we have some tips for recruitments and upgrades. We are also going to cover how you can improve morale.
Recruitments can be done in different villages and towns. You simply need to select the “Recruit Troops” option when you reach a given area. A window will open displaying the soldiers available there and each of the volunteer’s prices will also be showing. You can execute forced recruitment too in a village, but it will cause you to have bad ties with the village in question.
The villages and towns will not only have Basic Level 1 soldiers for you to recruit but you will also come across more seasoned warriors. You will find two categories of soldiers during the process of recruitment.
The first category is available to buy at any point. But the second category consisting of the more experienced soldiers can only be recruited after you achieve the specific amount of reputation needed in a particular location. To learn the requirements, you can hover the cursor over a particular warrior. You can gain reputation by completing related missions and by taking down bandit hideouts in the vicinity.
Your party will receive experience points after every battle they fight. The amount of points you get is according to the size of the battle you took part in. The more kills happen, the more experience your group receives.
When a soldier has reached the required number of experience points, he can be upgraded to the next level. Although this will make him a bit high maintenance, he will be wielding stronger equipment making him more efficient on the battlefield.
If a soldier is ready for promotion, an arrow will appear next to his name when you look through the Party Menu. Clicking on that soldier will enable you to check out the development options available for him.
Your soldiers can be improved in various areas, such as in horsemanship, or a spearman or marksman. Also skim through the development tree before you come to any choice, by right-clicking on the soldier’s name.
Keeping up the Morale
Just like in any real-life squad, boosting up the morale of your army will make them perform better in the field. Winning battles more often and providing good quality food are sure-fire ways of increasing the level of morale. Also while developing your Leadership skills, you can choose the right perks to receive a morale bonus.
