A Kinship Gauge is used to perform some special attacks on your enemies and also is required to use your Monstie’s special abilities. You will see a blue gauge on the left-hand side of your health bar at the bottom of the screen. This guide will help you know how you can easily fill your Kinship Gauge in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

The Kinship Gauge can be filled by attacking the monsters around you. The more you attack a monster more this gauge will fill quickly. The blue glowing light will come up as soon as you start attacking a monster, which will mean that the gauge is filling. You can fill the Kinship Gauge quickly by fighting and attacking the monster head-on.

A great amount of charge for Kinship Gauge can be obtained if a double attack is performed on a monster in combat. Each weapon requires a portion of Kinship Gauge to perform a special attack, some weapons have their gauge as well, which is displayed just below your character.

There are plenty of special attacks that you can perform, which require a portion of your Kinship Gauge. You will need to perform plentiful attacks to fill the gauge, but there are specific charges for each weapon, and these charges can also be filled.

If you are wielding the Great Sword, it can perform a powerful combo of attacks followed by charged attacks. The Great Sword also has charges, which need filling. These charges and Kinship Gauge will allow you to perform some powerful attack combos.

You can also use some of your Kinship Gauge to perform special attacks through your Monstie. Each Monstie has a different kind of attack set, which requires a different quantity of Kinship Gauge for each special attack to be performed. All in all, you will need the Kinship Gauge more than you can think so you will have to frequently perform attacks on monsters to fill the gauge and perform special attacks by yourself or your Monstie.
