Hammers in MHR are hard-hitting weapons that are slow to hit but can easily handle stun-lock monsters that can come in really handy. In this Monster Hunter guide, we’ve detailed everything there’s to know about Hammer, controls, Skilbind, and best combos to use.
Monster Hunter Rise Hammer
One of the best things about Hammers is that they don’t affect mobility despite having a very high weight rating. Hammers also only deal blunt damage which is ideal for stun-locking monsters that can come in handy during certain fights. On top of that, Hammers have also got very powerful Charged Attacks that go hand in hand with its moves.
Controls
In this section of the guide are all the basic controls related to the Great Sword in MHR:
- Overhead Smash: X
- Side Smash: A
- Charge: Hold ZR
- Charged Attack: While Charging, Hold ZR + Up
- Charge Switch: A while Charging
Skilbind Attacks
There are three Skilbind Attacks that players can perform with the Great Sword. These are:
- Spinning Bludgeon: ZL + X
- Impact Crater: ZL + A
- Dash Breaker: ZL + X
Impact Caster lets players jump straight up and dish out a devastating rising attack that also hits multiple times on the way down. Spinning Bludgeon, on the other hand, lets players perform a spinning attack. This can be switched out with Dash Breaker that lets players rush forward which negates all the incoming damage.
There are a lot of combos that players can execute while equipped with a Great Sword. Some of them are added below: That’s all we’ve got in our Monster Hunter Rise Hammer guide. Feel free to check out our detailed Monster Hunter Rise wiki guides for more help on the game.
