Players who love ranged damage can’t go wrong with Bows. These can use coatings for interesting buffs and are able to deal damage from a safe distance. This prevents players from going in the heat of battle. On top of all that, it can also be used in order to easily target a monster’s weakpoints. In this Monster Hunter Rise guide, we’ve detailed everything about Bow, its controls, skilbind attacks, and best combos.
Monster Hunter Rise Bow
One of the few ranged options that we recommend beginners to take in MHR. Its entire moveset is pretty easy to learn and it can easily be taken into endgame without much-required changes:
Controls
First of all, let’s talk about some basic controls that are needed to master Bows in MHR:
- Aim: ZL
- Shoot: ZR
- Melee Attack: A
- Load/Unload Coating: X
- Select Coating: L + X or L + B
- Dragon Piercer: X + A
Skilbind Attacks
Similar to other weapons in the game, there are three Skilbind Attacks in total. Two of them can also be switched out depending on usage:
- Focus Shot: R + X
- Herculean Draw: R + A
- Aerial Aim: R + X
When we talk about Skilbind Attacks, the first one we’ve got is called Herculean Draw. It lets players dash in the targeted direction and also enhances their Attack Power for a short while. The second one we’ve got is Focus Shot that increases the Stamina recovery rate while crouched and also grants the ability to dodge while crouching. Focus Shot can be switched out by Aerial Aim which, as the name suggests, lets players leap into the air using a Wirebug and rain arrows at the monsters while being airborne.
Bow Best Combos
Lastly, let’s talk about some sample combos that players can use in the game:
- Hold ZR, ZR + A
- Hold ZR, ZR + LS Up, A
- ZR + LS Up, LS + B, A, A
That’s all we’ve got in our Monster Hunter Rise Bow guide. Feel free to check out our detailed Monster Hunter Rise wiki guides for more help on the game.
