Basarios is one of the flying wyverns that you can fight in Monster Hunter Rise. It has appeared in previous games as well. In this Monster Hunter Rise guide, we are going to walk you through how you can beat Basarios.
How To Beat Basarios In Monster Hunter Rise
Basarios is weak against Dragon and Water. Its hard shell can make it difficult to attack but if you can beat the plating on its abdomen then you will be able to rip the shell right off and deal heavy damage. One of the attacks the monster has is fire breath. It will shoot fire right in front of it. When that happens you can dodge. But the monster is going to stay in place for a while so you can take the time to deal some damage.
During one of its attacks, it seems like it is charging at you but it is going to drop down and hit you with its entire body. If you have slow weapons that you might be taken by surprise. The rush attack is much easier to dodge and you can simply evade it to the side.
To beat Basarios in Monster Hunter Rise, we recommend weapons that have at least green sharpness in order for them to be effective against the monster. We also recommend focusing on the abdomen, lower tail, and legs of the boss.
Look out for parts of the body that heat up. When that happens to the head then this means that the boss is going to use its fire breath. Parts of the monster that heat up are also softened so you can do more damage to these parts of the body.
As this monster has heavy armor, it is slow. So you should take advantage of the long attack animations and use this time to deal damage to the boss. The monster can use gas clouds that poison you and even put you to sleep. When that happens, Antidotes and Herbal Medicines are going to come in handy. So keep a few of them on you. You can use Energy Drinks in order to counter the sleep effects.
