Minecraft Soul Speed Enchantment Guide – How to Find, Uses

The newest Minecraft Soul Lantern Guide – How to Craft, Uses Nether update has added the Soul Speed enchantment in Minecraft. When acquired, you should be able to travel across the Overworld faster than before. In this Minecraft guide, we’ve outlined everything you need to know about how Soul Speed enchantment works in the Nether update.

Minecraft Soul Speed

You can put the Soul Speed enchantment on any pair of boots you own e.g. Netherite, Diamond, Leather, etc. Once equipped onto a pair of boots, you’ll be able to have increased movement speed on Soul Sand and Soul Soil. What the Soul Speed enchantment basically does is that it removes the negative modifiers of when running on Soul Sand and Soul Soil, and therefore, increasing your overall movement speed.

However, there’s a little thing that you need to be aware of. While running on Soul Sand and Soul Soil, you’ll continue to lose durability on your boots. Keeping this in mind, it’s a good idea to have Mending / Unbreaking so that you don’t have to worry about repairing your armor at an odd time.

As for finding these materials, you should be able to locate Soul Soil and Soul Sand in the Nether. Do note that you’ll have to extract them so make sure to have the Shovel.

As for finding Soul Speed, you can try to trade with Piglins in the game. You should be able to find them in the Crimson Forest, Nether Wastes, etc. Do note that Piglins in the game will naturally be hostile toward you unless you’re wearing a gold item. If not with Piglins, you can also try raiding in Bastion to get a chance at finding the enchantment.

Unfortunately, there isn’t any other way of getting the enchantment like Respawn Anchor and Soul Lantern.

This is all we’ve got in our Minecraft Soul Speed guide. For more help on the game, you can check out our detailed Minecraft wiki guides.
