Back in the Forsaken days, Mindbender’s Ambition was regarded as the best shotgun in Destiny 2, especially for PvP. After getting sunset, however, things like Found Verdict, Felwinter’s Lie, Sudden Death, etc. took the spot. Mindbender’s Ambition has now been reprised in the Season of Plunder and comes with an interesting perk-pool. But what is the godroll for the new Mindbender’s Ambition in Destiny 2?
Before we begin, do note that Mindbender’s Ambition is now a Nightfall reward which means you can also farm an Adept version if you are willing to run Grandmaster NFs. Gone are the days of farming The Hollowed Lair repeatedly in the hopes of getting your hands on one. If you manage to get your hands on an Adept one, you can also slap on Adept Icarus Grip in PvP which makes a lot of difference.
Many of the most sought-after perks found on the OG Minderbender Ambition cannot be obtained anymore. These include Slideshot, Quickdraw, Rampage, etc. However, there are some interesting combinations found on the reprised version. A godrolled Mindbender’s Ambition should look something like this:
- Full Choke
- Accurized Rounds
- Threat Detector / Snapshot Sights
- Fragile Focus / Swashbuckler
In addition to PvP, Mindbender’s Ambition has also got some decent PvE combinations, making it a good choice for end-game PvE activities:
- Assault Mag.
- Lead from Gold / Autoloading Holster
- 1-2 Punch / Incandescent
Lastly, it is needless to say but a godroll can vary greatly. While the combinations provided above are good, feel free to experiment with different rolls to see what works the best for you. For instance, some people prefer Pugilist alongside Swashbuckler for unlimited melee builds.
These are what we think are the godrolls for Mindbender’s Ambition for both PvE and PvP in Destiny 2. You can check out more helpful guides by heading over to our Destiny 2 wiki page.
