William’s profile mentions that he is working on a new game based on an established IP and is still under NDA. The mention of the “Established IP” has since been removed but there is little that you can hide from the internet. Since the game is under NDA it is most likely an unannounced title and while we are not sure which game this is, fans are speculating that this could be an upcoming Fallout game.

Since 2020, InXile has been working on two titles, if this is one of those projects then we could see a game for Dune or Fallout. Microsoft bought InXile Entertainment and Obsidian Entertainment in 2018 and both are now part of Xbox Game Studios. Brian Fargo, the founder of InXile was previously the president of Fallout creator Interplay Productions, so it would make sense that the team is working on the next Fallout game. Do take this information with a grain of salt since it is speculation and there is no official announcement at this moment.
Brian Fargo has previously mentioned that the upcoming project is going to use Unreal Engine 5 and that it is going to be a while before fans will be able to see the game. So it might take a while for us to learn more about this game that the developers are working on. I would not be surprised if we do not get anything from the studio this year.
Let us know what you think about this new game that InXile is working on and whether or not you think this could be the new Fallout game.
