In this Medieval Dynasty beginners guide, we are going to give you some helpful tips and tricks that will make the game much easier.
Medieval Dynasty Tips And Tricks For Beginners
The following are some useful tips and tricks that you should keep in mind when playing Medieval Dynasty:
Do The Opening Quest
At the start of the game, you will not have any income and everything is going to seem very expensive. Do not worry. Continue to do the first quest and claim your land. Build your home which will provide you with storage. If you are facing issues trying to build your first house then you can check out our first house guide.
Storage is going to come in handy when you have got a lot of things, as you will not be able to carry them for a while. Beware not to hoard everything that you find as you will run out of storage pretty quickly.
What Do The Icons Mean?
You will see icons on your compass. The exclamation points show quests that are near you. The bags indicate a merchant. The document shows Unigost, who offers main missions and you have to pay him taxes each spring.
In the survival tree, you will find the Survival Sense skill. This will highlight resources that you can forage. This will be indicated along the ground in Yellow when you press and hold the Alt button on your keyboard. This is going to use stamina, so keep that in mind.
The game has different seasons. In spring, you can pick up Morels for food. You can sell them for cash as well. Unripe berries can be sol as well.
In the summer, you can pick up berries for food. These will satisfy your hunger and our thirst. In the Fall, you will have mushrooms all around you. These can be poisonous or edible. Pay close attention to them when trying to eat one. By fall you should know how to cook and hunt. If you need more help then you can check out our guide on how you can hunt and find food in the game.
When winter comes, it is going to hit you hard. Hunting is going to be your only option for food. You can also head over to the different taverns in the game for food.
You can craft things on the go by pressing Q. In the menu you can craft tools, buildings and traps. The menu only has the basic tools. For more advanced tools you will have to refer to the respective buildings. A pickaxe for example can be crafted at the Blacksmith. Arrows can be made in the first crafting hut that you setup.
These can be used three times before you have to craft one again. Rabbit traps can be useful to find food early on in the game. Bird traps can be used to collect feathers. Both are set in the same way.
Once you have hunted for an animal you will have meat but it is going to be raw. It needs to be cooked. You can do that at a campfire or inside your home. In order to start up your campfire, you need to craft a torch.
If you are cooking on a fire or are in a tavern then you should aim at the fire. THis will cook your meat. Use the cauldron if you have ingredients such as onions or carrots. This will allow you to make a proper meal.
If you are starting off as a male character then you have to marry so that you have a wife to take care of you when you grow too old. This can take some time as you need to woo a woman and you often need to select the right dialogues.
Dynasty points determine the number of buildings that you can build and how easily new villagers are attracted to your town. You can earn a couple of hundred by completing the main quest line of the game. You can get more points by completing side quests.
You can steal items and resources as long as you are not seen. If you need an item and cannot be bothered to craft it then you can steal it but if you are seen then it will cost you dynasty points.
