A recent Twitter post disclosed the most-played games on Steam Deck for the month of March, offering a fascinating glimpse into the versatile gaming power of Valve’s handheld console. With an assortment of both expected and unexpected titles, the list highlights the widespread appeal of the Steam Deck.

The Steam Deck social page provided a list of the top games in terms of hours played, although the absence of a clear numbering or ranking system made it difficult to discern the exact order. Nonetheless, several blockbuster games featured prominently, such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto V, and Elden Ring (which secured second place).

It appears that Steam Deck users are particularly drawn to expansive, open-world games, with No Man’s Sky, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and Skyrim also making the cut.

Hogwarts Legacy, a chart-topping sensation since its February release, appears to have claimed the top spot on the Steam Deck list. Vampire Survivors, a highly popular game that recently won two BAFTA awards, also received special recognition.

Interestingly, several older titles found their way onto the list as well, including Fallout 4, Skyrim, and Stardew Valley. These enduring classics continue to attract players who enjoy revisiting them on the go.

Resident Evil 4 took the last spot on the list, presumably referring to the recently released remake.

As the Steam Deck gains traction, other tech giants have begun to explore the handheld console market. Asus recently unveiled the ROG Ally, and rumors of a PlayStation Vita 2 have begun to circulate. With the growing interest in portable gaming, we may be on the cusp of a handheld gaming renaissance.
