Upgrading your Crafting Bench in LEGO Fortnite allows you to access a wider array of tools and resources. But before you can upgrade a crafting bench you need to make one (if you already have one, skip to the bottom of the page for the upgrade section).
Building Your Crafting Bench
Before you can think about upgrading, you need to have a Crafting Bench. Here’s how you build one:
- Gather Resources: You’ll need to collect 3 Wood and 5 Granite. Wood can be obtained by destroying various objects, while Granite appears as small grey brick pieces scattered across the ground.
- Construct the Bench: Access the building menu (B on Xbox, Circle on PlayStation, or Q on PC), navigate to the Utility section, and select the Crafting Bench. If you have the required resources, finalize the placement by pressing the build button again.
How To Upgrade Crafting Bench With Required Materials For Each Level
The first upgrade to your Crafting Bench is to the Uncommon level. For this, you need:
- 8 Planks: These are abundant and easily accessible.
- 3 Shells: A bit more challenging, Shells are dropped by entities known as ‘Rollers.’ These enemies are hidden beneath the ground, particularly in the Grasslands. To defeat them, you need a sword and a shield. Rollers are lured by vines, and upon defeat, drop the Shells you need.
Upgrading to Rare Crafting Bench
The next level is the Rare Crafting Bench. The materials required for this upgrade are:
- 12 Knotroot Rods
- 15 Marble Slabs
- 6 Sand Claws
- 3 Sand Shells
Upgrading to Epic Crafting Bench
Finally, to reach the pinnacle of Crafting Bench upgrades, the Epic tier, you will need:
- 15 Copper Bars
- 25 Obsidian Slabs
- 1 Brute Scale
Collecting these ingredients allows you to upgrade your bench to the max, unlocking the strongest tools and weapons in the game, including the Epic Pickaxe that is used to mine Malachite.
