How Do Expeditions Work In Legends of Runeterra
When you start the expedition mode in Legends of Runeterra you build your deck over the next 15 rounds. You get to pick two champions. You can build your deck from there. In this mode, you can expect to see a diverse meta. A random assortment of Champions, Units and Spells is offered, and bundles are decided based on a potential deck archetype.
With all this mind, you should still keep your eye out for an out of the box synergy that could land you a win or two. It is this kind of critical thinking that will give you the upper hand in this game.
There are two kinds of picks in the draft, Synergy and Wild. Synergy picks take into account your previous choices and let you take cards that specifically work well with your existing deck. Keep in mind that these are still random so you are not going to get a perfect match each time.
Wild picks let you pivot the direction of the deck that you are building. At times you can be forced to pick cards that might not seem optimal for the deck that you are aiming for. These can be great for a secondary plan that you might not have figured out yet.
Wild picks allow you to pick cards from more than 2 regions. This creates decks that you will only be able to see in the expedition mode of Legends of Runeterra. Be sure to take full advantage of this. You might take a while to figure things out but once you get the hang of it, this mode is going to be a lot of fun for you.
What are Trade Picks?
Trade picks allow you to swap your cards for better ones. This will allow you to get rid of the cards that are less useful and get the ones that you think will suit you better. This includes spell cards and minion cards.
How To Win In Expedition?
This is a unique mode so you will need to plan accordingly. Keep in mind that you can be knocked out by losing two consecutive matches. This means that you can make comebacks as long as you learn from your mistakes. Rewards
Every Legends of Runeterra expedition has two trials. This means that you do have another shot if things go south the first time around. You are rewarded according to which run is the most successful. Rewards include Wildcards, specific cards, Capsules, Chests and Shards. The rewards and their quantity and quality will depend on your success. No matter how poorly you perform, you will get at least one champion card. So the expedition can be worth it.
How Much Do Expeditions Cost?
You can play this game mode using multiple currencies that the game has. At times you can even get passes that allow you to access this mode for free. Generally, you will need 4000 Shards or 400 Gold. If you are able to get to round 7 then you will have earned enough currency to have another go at it.
