Dueling in Red Dead Redemption 2 is one activity you can do to pass the time. It is really fun to duel and you can even die if you lose. We hope you like the last duel in Red Dead Redemption with Edgar Ross because the mechanics are quite same and interesting. If you are not good at dueling, this Red Dead Redemption 2 Dueling Guide will help you win duels more often.
Win Red Dead Redemption 2 Duels
To start a duel, simply approach a gunslinger who wants to duel. The rules for duel in RDR2 are simple. When the timer goes out, you have to draw and shoot.
If you kill the gunslinger, you will not lose any Honor. If you don’t want to kill the other guy, you can just aim at his hand and disarm him – the duel will end with you winning. On top of winning, you will get Honor for disarming the person.
First, as the duel starts, draw your weapon by holding RT. Once that is done, press R2 while aiming at the opponent to enter Dead Eye.
Using Dead Eye to its maximum potential, then aim and press R2 to shoot. If you get shot, you die instantly and obviously you lose as well.
Try charging more but not too much in the draw section. If you charge less, your aim will be off and if you charge more, the other person will get the chance to shoot you first.
