How to Transfer Pokémon from Bank to Home

Wondering how to transfer your Pokémon from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon Home? You’ve come to the right place. Although fairly simple, the process can get a little confusing sometimes since you’ve to juggle a few different things at the same time. This guide will help you understand the ins and outs of transferring from Bank to Home.

How to Transfer from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon Home?

First of all, do note that transferring from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon Home requires you to have a Premium Package. To celebrate the launch of Pokémon Home, Nintendo has made it free for a month so try to do it now if you can.

Once you’ve decided which Pokémon you want to transfer from your Nintendo 3DS to Pokémon Home, you’ll need to download the Pokémon Home app from the eShop on your Nintendo Switch. Alternatively, you can also do so using the smartphone app.

Open the Pokémon Home app and select “Options” from the menu at the very bottom of the screen. In the new menu, select the “Move Pokémon” option and you’ll be asked to select your desired Pokémon or move them all at once.

You’ll also need to launch Pokémon Bank on your Nintendo 3DS and choose “Move Pokémon” to Pokémon Home. You’ll again be asked to select your desired Pokémon or move them all simultaneously.

Now continue to follow on-screen instructions on both the devices and you’ll eventually be presented with a Transfer Code in Pokémon Home for 180 seconds. You’ll need to enter this code in your Pokémon Bank app to start the transfer process.

It shouldn’t take you long and you’ll successfully be able to transfer from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon Home. For more helpful tips and tricks, check our Pokémon Home guides page.
