Wasteland 3: How to Tame Animal Companions
To tame animal companions in Wasteland 3 you need to unlock the Animal Whisperer Skill. The skill in question allows you to tame animals and make them your companions. However, the skill, like all others comes with a level system. You need to spend skill points to boost the Animal Whisperer to tame higher-level animals. There is more to the Animal Whisperer though, animal companions get a 5% damage boost on each level up. The boost starts at 5% on level 1 and goes all the way up to 50% on level 10.
Moreover, on level 3 you will get the Animal Training perk that gives additional bonus damage and constitution. On level 5, the Spirit Animal perk is unlocked which improves bonuses given by Animal Companions. Last but not least, at level 7 you get the Vengeful Bond Perk which gives you a boost to crit chance and +2AP for animal companions with 25% constitution.
