How to Speed Up Battles in Monster Hunter Stories 2

The combat system of Monster Hunter Stories 2 is an extremely optimized system to handle and play, but there may be players who want to speed up the combat process to finish fighting as soon as possible. This guide explains how exactly you can speed up battles in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin Speed Up Battles

You can boost the speed of any fight in Monster Hunter Stories 2. Speeding the fight is an extremely simple method, all you need to do is enter a fight and look at the top left corner of your screen. There you will see an icon with an arrow and “1x” written in front of it.

1x is the default speed of the fight, if you want to increase the speed you just got to reach the button in your device’s respective manner. After you have hovered over the button, you need to click the 1x and your fight will be boosted by 2x.

If you want to get things done a little bit more quickly, you can increase it to a whopping 3x. If you change the fight speed once, there’s no need to change it again any time soon as it will be saved for your future battles as well.

These were the speeds of the battles, but if you do not want to get bothered by battles or fights at all, you skip the fights by instantly skipping them. Although to do this method, you got to be way ahead on the level of the monster that you are taking on.

If you are, say 10 levels above the monster, you can just skip the fight and loot the items dropped from the corpse of the monster. This means you will have a “Quick Finish” option on your screen. This button will appear on the bottom left of your screen right under the Switch Monsties label. Press this button and you will win the fight with an S-rank.
