The newly released Myth of Empires allows players to set up their dedicated servers and play the game without any trouble from trolls. In this guide, we will discuss everything you need to know on how to create and launch dedicated servers in the game.

Myth of Empires: How to Set-Up and Launch Dedicated Servers

The first thing you need to do is go to <Game Directory>/PrivateServerTool and launch the PrivateServerTool.exe. The next you need to do is configure the settings as you wish and set the port to 4 digits to make sure you don’t experience the Steam Error (IE 5888 and 5889).

Save your settings and note down the ini file for later. Click on “Start Server” to create a .bat file to launch the server. Use this file to launch the server but shut down it using CTRL-C in the server window.

Go to the ini file and copy the data inside and go to <Game Directory>/WindowsPrivateServer/MOE/Saved/Config/WindowsServer. Paste the settings you copied inside the GameUserSettings.ini file. Now launch the server again.

If you have admin rights you can access the command console by pressing “~.” You can be an admin through the PserverTool using your Steam64ID.

You can check out the video above for more details on remote commands and much more.

  1. There’s a new guide available started with patch 0.12 that uses SteamCMD to download the dedicated server instead of using the client install.
