Sons of the Forest is a thrilling survival horror game where players navigate a dangerous wilderness filled with cannibalistic mutants. In this game, players may encounter two important characters, Kelvin and Virginia, who can provide helpful assistance in their journey.

However, if players accidentally kill them or they fall victim to enemies, they may be left wondering if there is a way to revive these characters. Fortunately, it is possible to bring Kelvin and Virginia back to life, and in this guide, we will show you step-by-step how to revive them and continue on your adventure with their aid.

How to Revive Kelvin in Sons of the Forest

To revive Kelvin follow a few simple steps:

  1. Back up your save files before attempting to revive the characters.
  2. Press the Windows key and R button simultaneously to open the Run folder.
  3. Type in “appdata” and hit Enter.
  4. Go to LocalLow > Endnight > Sons of the Forest > Saves > [your Steam ID] > Singleplayer (or Multiplayer).
  5. Find the last save file you used before Kelvin died. It should be named “gameStateSaveData.json”.
  6. Open the file with a text editor, such as Notepad.
  7. Use the Find function (Ctrl + F) to search for “isRobbiedead” and change the value from “true” to “false”. This step is necessary for Kelvin’s revival.
  8. Search for SaveData.json folder
  9. Press CTRL+F and type \”TypeId\”:9
  10. Save the changes
  11. Save the changes
  12. Now press CTRL+F again and search for \”TypeId\”:9,\PlayerKilled\”:1
  13. Change the PlayerKilled parameter to 0
  14. Save the changes

How to Revive Virginia in Sons of the Forest

To revive Virginia, follow these steps:

  5. Find the last save file you used before Virginia died. It should be named “gameStateSaveData.json”.
  6. Open the file with a text editor, such as Notepad.
  7. Use the Find function (Ctrl + F) to search for “isVirginiadead” and change the value from “true” to “false”. This step is necessary for Virginia to respawn.
  8. Search for SaveData.json folder
  9. Press CTRL+F and type /”TypeId/”:10
  10. Save the changes
  11. Now press CTRL+F again and search for \”TypeId\”:10,\PlayerKilled\”:1
  12. Change the PlayerKilled parameter to 0
  13. Save the changes

Follow the steps for both Kelvin and Virginia and you should be able to respawn them both. However, if you can’t interact with them afterward, you did something wrong so try again with a different save. Moreover, if you can’t find Virginia’s parameter values (known bug), you’ll need to start to start a new save or go into a previous save to find her value.

You can do that by going to the SaveData.Json folder, hit CTRL+F and type \”TypeId\”:10. Note down where she is in the code, copy her ID, and paste it into the save files your want.
