It goes without saying but your Character Level is important in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. Being under-leveled will restrict your ability to free-roam effectively and chances are that you’ll die … a lot! To prevent that, here are some tips to help you farm XP and level up fast in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

Leveling up in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will increase your battle stats permanently, allowing you to take on tougher foes and bosses without breaking a sweat. Moreover, you’ll unlock the ability to break boulders and explore caves at Level 10 to be able to get your hands on some rare items.

Level Up Fast in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

While leveling isn’t bad if you naturally play through the game but there are a few tips and tricks that can help you earn more XP and level up faster than normal. If you’re thinking about earning more XP to level up fast in Kakarot, you’ve come to the right place.

1. Cook Meals that Boost XP
One of the things you can do in Kakarot is cooking. And you can actually use cooking to farm XP and level up fast in the game. There are plenty of cooking recipes in the game that greatly boost the amount of XP you earn.

Cooking meals in DBZ: Kakarot, however, requires you to gather ingredients so make sure to stock up on those. You should also consider cooking full-course meals to boost your experience and other stats at the same time.

2. Don’t Ignore Substories
While going through a chapter, try to complete as many substories as you possibly can. Completing substories in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot rewards a decent amount of XP to help you rank up fast so try not to ignore them.

I should also mention it here that substories related to a specific chapter disappear after the completion of the said chapter so be sure to complete them before advancing to the next chapter.

3. Complete Random Encounters
While free-roaming the world of the game, you’ll encounter random enemies challenging you. And while you’re free to ignore them if you want, fighting and defeating them will reward you with some EXP and other rare items.

These enemies are also infinite spawns so you can farm them as much as you want. I’d suggest looking for different groups of enemies close to one another. This should allow you to clear 3-4 groups quickly before returning to a campfire and repeating.

4. Use King Kai’s Soul Emblem
You’ll get to meet King Kaï quite early in the game and unlock his Soul Emblem. What you’re looking to do is to throw in all your Soul Emblems in Kai’s training group and use gifts that further boost XP. Continue to increase advanced bonuses and you’ll be rolling in XP in no time.

If you combine these leveling techniques, you should easily be able to breeze through a couple of levels in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot every other hour. If you’ve any other questions related to XP farming, let us know!
