Palworld lets you hatch eggs to bring new monsters to existence but while the process is simple, you need the right tools to get started. For example, you need an incubator to hatch eggs. Moreover, you need the right locations to get the best eggs before you can start breeding and hatching.
Incubator is a tool used to hatch eggs and it crafted out of certain crafting materials.
Incubator Crafting Recipe
In Palworld, the Egg Incubator, a pivotal device for hatching eggs, falls under ‘Ancient Technology’. To build it, players must gather specific resources and Ancient Technology Points, which are earned by defeating bosses, including Syndicate Tower leaders and prominent Pals.
- 10 Paldium Fragments
- 5 Cloth
- 30 Stone
- 2 Ancient Civilization Parts (from bosses)
Bosses, providing essential components, respawn periodically, allowing for continuous collection of necessary items.
Using the Incubator is straightforward. Go into build mode and select the Incubator from the menu wheel. Set the Incubator down wherever you want (somewhere safe) and press F to start building. Press F again to transfer the egg from your inventory to the Incubator, triggering a countdown. Once the timer ends, your Pal Egg will hatch.
- In “Palworld,” to hatch an egg, first access the Tech Tree and unlock the Egg Incubator, found at level 7 with Ancient Tech.
- Acquire Ancient Technology points by defeating bosses, which are located around the map in places like tower bosses.
- After obtaining the Egg Incubator, enter build mode, select the Egg Incubator, and place it in a desired location.
- Construct the Egg Incubator and then place the egg inside it to start the incubation process.
- The incubation time is initially set to 1 minute and 30 seconds, but can be adjusted as needed.
Best Locations To Get Eggs
Palworld eggs are scattered across various locations, often hidden under trees, nestled between rocks, on cliffsides, or along coastlines. Notably, the Windswept Hills Flying Fish Coast is a prime spot for finding eggs. Vigilance is key, as eggs can blend into their surroundings.
Unlocked at level 19, the Breeding Farm is your gateway to obtaining eggs through breeding. Construct it using 100 Wood, 20 Stone, and 50 Fiber. Place a male and female Pal inside and provide Cake (made from Flour, Red Berries, Milk, Eggs, and Honey) to ensure egg production.
How To Speed Up Egg Hatching/Incubator Timer
Some eggs, like Scorching Eggs, hatch faster near heat sources, e.g., a campfire. Similarly, Damp Eggs prefer cold conditions. Match the Incubator’s temperature to the egg’s preference to hasten hatching. The best way to do this in my experience is to place a bunch of campfires around the incubator.
Note: Breeding a male and female Pal can result in a stronger offspring, inheriting traits from both parents. Adjusting the Incubator’s temperature affects the hatching time. Aim for a ‘very comfortable’ condition to halve the incubation period.
