With the release of Beyond Light, Bungie has introduced a new way of acquiring old Exotics and Legendary Pinnacle weapons whose questlines are going into Destiny Content Vault. It’s a neat way for players who are new to the game or didn’t get the chance to earn weapons like Not Forgotten, Whisper of the Worm, Luna’s Howl, and even Raid Exotics like Anarchy, Legend of Acrius, etc. In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about how to obtain old Exotic Weapons and Legendary Pinnacle Weapons in Destiny 2: Beyond Light.
How to Get Old Exotics in Destiny 2 Beyond Light
If you go to The Tower, you should see two new kiosks on there – these kiosks are the keys to claiming old weapons. The first one is the “Monument of Lost Lights Exotic Archive” kiosk. Located right next to Vault on The Tower, this one will let you acquire questlines for Exotics, Pinnacle, and Pursuit weapons. You’ll need to have loads of Glimmer, Destination Materials, Masterworking Materials, Ascendant Shards, and an Exotic Cipher to buy the quests – the longer the quest, the more materials you’ll need.
Most of these things you’ll continue to earn naturally as you progress through the game except Exotic Ciphers. According to Bungie, Xur, the Agent of the Nine will have a weekly quest that will reward an Exotic Cipher. I just hope Bungie also lets you keep more than one in our inventory.
Another currency you’ll need, specifically for Raid Exotics, is called “Spoils of Conquest”. This currency can only be acquired by completing raids so that the effort and time put in by veterans is well justified.
In addition to the “Monument of Lost Lights Exotic Archive” kiosk, there’s also the “Quest Archive” near the Postmaster. It’s from this kiosk that players will be able to grab abandoned quests and the “New Light Quest” that will introduce them to Cosmodrome.
