Biomutant: How to Get Mekton Early in the Game and Upgrade It

Biomutant Mekton

Mekton is a robot in Biomutant, which has many purposes. Fortunately, there is a way through which you can early on obtain this robotic giant. This guide will help you know how you can unlock Mekton early on in the game.

Unlock Mekton in Biomutant

To unlock Mekton, you will have to reach Chugyard, defeat Bompa Bonker. Now, you will be prompted to defuse the sprocket, which will get launched into the air, lose balance, and will hit the wall of the Chugyard funneling a route for you to pass through into the underground.

After going underground from this passage, you will meet Gizmo, who will prompt you to visit the Dead Zone to get a Mekton part. After getting that Mekton part to Gizmo, you can ride it and roam within the Dead Zone. You got to be careful as it is an oxygen-deprived area, if you stay for long in there, you will die of suffocation.

You can also upgrade the Mekton by finding Mekton Wrekboxes, which are scattered all around the world of Biomutant. There is a total of 14 Mekton Wrekboxes, and you are required to collect them in a sidequest. All these boxes will grant you a part of Mekton, primarily an upgrade.

The locations of all the Wrekboxes will be visible on the map. While some of the Wrekboxes are located in the open, there would be some which are difficult to find. After you have upgraded the Mekton to max level, you will have to fight and defeat the World-Eater “Jumbo Puff” boss.

You can only summon the Mekton in the Dead Zone by pressing D-pad on the controller for console players or press 4 on the keyboard if you are playing on PC.

This is everything that you need to know about Mekton and how to unlock it, upgrade it, and summon it. For more help on the game, feel free to check out our detailed Biomutant wiki guides.
