Cooking is an integral part of the Going Medieval experience. It’s important to keep the settlers fed at all times. Cooking food in the game requires things like a campfire, meat, etc. But how does one get meat in the game? In this Going Medieval guide, we’ve detailed all there’s to know about how to hunt animals to get meat in the game.
Meat in Going Medieval
Meat in Going Medieval is generally acquired through hunting animals. After a successful hunt, bring the animal to a Butchering Table to get started. In order to build a Butchering Table, open up the Production Menu from the bottom-right of the screen. It shouldn’t be hard to build at all.

Once done, left-click on the Butchering Table and select the meat icon that appears. This will put the hunted animal onto the Butchering Table and get the meat in return. It’s all pretty simple.
Once enough meat has been acquired, all that remains to do is to set up a campfire and cook the meat to feed to the settlers. The more fed they’re, the happier they’ll be.
