The importance of resources can’t be undermined in Going Medieval. These resources are crucial when it comes to progressing. Iron is one such resource that can be a little hard to find in the game. But how does one farm a lot of Iron in Going Medieval? In this Going Medieval guide, we’ve detailed all there’s to know about how to easily get Iron in the game.

Get Iron in Going Medieval

Getting the useable Iron requires a couple of steps. The first thing that players need to do is to mine crude Iron from the ground. While exploring different areas in the game, always keep an eye out on these Iron nodes – these shouldn’t be too hard to spot. Once found, have the settlers mine Iron from these locations.

Once the crude Iron has been collected, the next step is to refine it in order to make it useable. It’s another simple step.

To begin, open up the Research Menu from the top of the screen and select the item named ‘Smelting’. Players will need to make 20 Chronicles on the Research Bench and then get the Architect research item.

From there, all that remains is to open up the Production Menu and have the settlers build the Smelting Furnace. It’s through the Smelting Furnace that players will be able to get themselves useable Iron.
