How To Get Dragonite In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Dragonair is a Dragon/Flying-type Pokemon. It evolves into Dragonite at Level 55. Fans of Pokemon have cherished Dragonite since childhood–it’s one of the strongest in the franchise’s history. So, it can’t be possible that no one loves Dragonite in the Pokemon games released. In this guide, I’ll tell you how to get Dragonite in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How To Get Dragonite

  1. Catch Dratini
  2. Catch Dragonair
  3. Catch Steel Tera Type Dragonite

How To Catch Dratini In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Dratini thrive in water, so your best bet to find one is somewhere with a constant flow of water. The Cesseroya Lake in Porto Marinada Northeast specifically is home to Dratini. Remember that this location will be in West Province’s Areas Two and Three.

To catch a Dratani, you must first have a Pokémon who knows the Surf ability. This can only be possible after defeating Open Sky Titan – at which point either Miraidon or Koraidon can learn how to surf from them (Open Sky Titans know how.) Once you’ve learned surfing, explore the entirety of Cesserroya lake – though beware, as all wild Dratini here will be level 40. (I recommend using a very powerful pokemon against it)

Note: You can evolve your Dratini into a Dragonair in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet by leveling it up to 30.

To catch the Dragonair, you must travel to Cesseroya Lake in Porto Marinada NorthEast. This is located in West Province Area Two and Three. Although the location is the same, it’s much more difficult than catching Dratini. Usually, Dragonair will be found near the middle of the lake; however, you also need to learn how to surf before attempting to catch this Pokemon which can be possible by defeating Open Sky Titan.

Note: You can evolve your Dragonair into a Dragonite in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet by leveling it up to 55.
