Getting the Cabal Gold in Season of the Chosen is fairly simple. In order to get the Seasonal Currency in the game, all that the players need to do is to complete Playlist Strikes, Crucible, Gambit, Blind Well, and Public Events.
While players will automatically continue to earn the Cabal Gold as they’re working on other objectives like weekly pinnacles, powerful rewards, etc., there’s a much more efficient method for those who are specifically looking to farm Cabal Gold.
From what we’ve tested so far, triggering Heroic PEs and completing them seems to be the best when it comes to earning a decent amount of Cabal Gold in the game. Here’s a rundown of how much players can earn from different activities:
- Strikes: 14 Cabal Gold
- Crucible: 8 Cabal Gold
- Public Event: 8 Cabal Gold
- Gambit: 8 Cabal Gold
With Mayhem going on right now, a match can be completed in about 3-4 minutes but once it rotates next week, Crucible won’t be the best bet for farming the currency. This is where Heroic Public Event comes into play. Each Heroic PE can easily be completed in about 3-4 minutes depending on the fireteam and can net players 8 Cabal Gold. On top of that, destinations like EDZ, Nessus, Europa can have multiple PEs going on at the same time so players can easily hop from one PE to the other without waiting for loading, matchmaking, etc.
With enough Cabal Gold, players will be able to slot in Challenger’s Medallion into the Hammer of Proving and participate in the Battleground seasonal activity to earn a lot of seasonal rewards. This, in turn, will provide players with Hammer Charges that they’ll be able to use to focus Umbral Engrams.
