How to Get a Mount (Horse) in V Rising

In the early hours of V Rising, you’ll find that space is at a premium as you frantically try to create a base that can withstand vampire attacks through the night. Part of the reason for this is that you will be focused on gathering resources to make sure you can continually improve your chances of survival.

How to Get a Mount

You might think running around collecting everything is the best way to go about this, but getting a horse is a much better option. Having a horse will allow you to move much faster, which means you can gather more resources in less time which is essential for progressing in V Rising.

Even if you’ve seen the horses in the trailer, you might not have found any yet if you had spent your time in Frabane Wood. That’s because, as the name suggests, there are no horses in Frabane Wood.

However, without wasting any time, if you go into Dunely Farmland either towards the West or East Militia Camp, you’ll find horses at both locations. I would suggest getting them as early as possible, as they’re helpful for quickly traversing the terrain before you get things like Bat form. Not to mention that they provide a great sense of freedom and are just fun to ride around on. So if you’re looking for horses, keep this in mind and head on over to Dunely Farmland instead. You won’t be disappointed.

When you’re ready to claim your horse, please walk up to it and hit the interact button. You’ll be able to either ride the horse back to your castle or teleport it there using resources. If you have the resources, teleport the horseback to your castle to claim it as your own.
