Increase RAM

Not having enough physical RAM on your system is another reason for the Starfield 0xC0000005 error. The game requires at least 16 GB of RAM to run properly and if you have below that amount of RAM, then you need to increase it.

Disable In-Game Overlays

In-game overlays are quite common for gaming-related software on PC. These overlays are useful as they allow gamers to access features that would otherwise be difficult to access. However, in-game overlays can interfere with games like Starfield and cause errors like 0xC0000005. Disable in-game overlays like Steam in-game overlay, GeForce Experience overlays, or Discord Overlay.
