Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has 19 different types of fish you can catch. Fishing is not a complicated process in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. However, you do need to know a few basics before you can even begin to fish in the game. In this quick guide, we will explain everything you need to know on how to fish in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Fishing Guide – How to Fish
To start fishing you need to build the Fishing Hut in your settlement. Once you complete the construction of the Fishing Hut, a fishing rod will appear in your inventory. Use the fishing rod to catch fish in the rivers and seas of Valhalla. When you are near a body of water such as a lake, pond, sea, and river, you can open the wheel to equip the fishing rod in AC Valhalla.
Cast a line into the water and when your controller vibrates hook your catch by pressing R2 on PlayStation and RT on Xbox. Use the thumbstick to pull the caught fish toward you. If you see the line turning red let go of R2/RT and thumbstick until the red flash goes away, otherwise, the fish might unhook itself and disappear.
Deeper waters have more fish for you to catch. It is always better to fish from a boat by going into deeper waters. If you don’t have a boat, fishing from the shore is still effective.
Use Odin’s vision to spot nearby fish. You use the vision to see how close the fish is to your hook. If fish aren’t spawning at your location, meditate on the boat or on the coast to pass time. If you use fast travel points it can often reveal different types of fish.
