The main goal of your team in Phasmophobia is to find and identity ghosts. There are multiple types of ghosts in the game but it is really hard to find them. In this quick guide, we will discuss how to find ghosts in Phasmophobia using a few simple methods. We will also discuss how to identity ghosts in Phasmophobia.
Phasmophobia Guide: How to Find and Identify Ghosts
Ghosts are usually found within one room of the building so your goal will be to find this ghost room first. Finding a ghost will be a group effort so make sure your team is ready and equipped. Each party member must have an emf or a thermometer and one sound sensor to locate ghosts.
Split up so you can cover more ground and check separate ends of the building. Use the emf or thermometer and the sound sensor in each room of the building. Sound sensors should be put down in each room of the house by different party members.
Spreading out to check each room of the house means you can cover more area, spread the net wide, and boost your chances of finding the ghost. Through this method, someone from your party will find the ghost for sure and report back to others. You can go back to the van and check which sound sensor is picking up the most noise.
Search with your party in that sensor’s area to narrow your search for the ghost in Phasmophobia. Using sound to track down ghosts is the most effective method as it saves a lot of your time. Once you manage to find the ghost room put down emf and start the process to identify the ghost.
Identifying the Ghost in Phasmophobia
The second phase is identifying the ghost. To identify the ghost you need equipment from the van so everyone needs to head back. You will need the following items to identify the ghost in Phasmophobia.
- a book
- spirit box
- video camera
- UV light
- photo camera
- emf and thermometer
The items mentioned above are mere recommendations which means you can go ahead and use your own list of items for this phase. The next step is to go through your equipment and gather all the data you possibly can. Set up cameras in the ghost room and if there are lights in the room turn all of them off before going back to the van to check for spirit orbs. Make sure you work in the light yourself as much as possible to avoid triggering the Hunt phase and keeping your sanity high.
As you continue to investigate the ghost your sanity takes a hit. You need to stick with your team and have at least one person hold up the crucifix for protection. Get as much evidence as possible to identify the ghost and start taking pictures. You can take pictures of the following to boost your profits.
- Dirty water
- Emf going off
- Fingerprints or handprints via UV lights
You should have a dedicated team member for pictures as it speeds up the process and gets you out of there as soon as possible. That’s pretty much all you need to know about finding ghosts in Phasmophobia. If you need more help with the game check out the wiki.
