There are a variety of special weapons available, each with its own moves and requirements for use. But how do you equip them?

The Special Weapons in Like a Dragon: Ishin are exclusive to the Brawler style and add a unique twist to your gameplay. Among them are odachi swords, spears, poles, and even cannons.
You can obtain these weapons in various ways as you progress through the game. You can purchase them from vendors or loot fallen enemies after defeating them. For instance, after completing the first raid in Chapter 1, you’ll receive an odachi sword as a reward for beating a mini-boss.
How to Equip Special Weapons
After obtaining the odachi sword, you may attempt to equip it in the Special slot of the Equipment menu, only to discover that it cannot be equipped.
You cannot equip the Odachi special weapon because you must first unlock the appropriate ability. You have to unlock “Knowledge of the Odachi” to use the odachi. The Swordsman sphere has this skill on the right side. Once you have unlocked this ability, you can equip and wield the odachi sword in battle.
On the other hand, if you want to use a special spear, the ability to equip it is Knowledge of the Spear.
