In Valheim, items tend to degrade with use and lose their effectiveness. To make sure that they’re always in pristine condition, players must repair them periodically. The game, however, doesn’t do a very good job at how to do it. This is where our guide comes in. In this Valheim guide, we’ve provided a complete overview of everything there’s to know about how to easily repair items in the game.
How to Repair Items in Valheim
Similar to how crafting works in Valheim, repairing a damaged item requires players to have a Workbench. Although there are four different upgrades for the Workbench, the default one should suffice for repairing. In order to unlock the Workbench, players will need to have a Hammer and find 10x Wood.
Once the Workbench has been built, players can simply interact with it and open up the Crafting Menu to start repairing their damaged items. Remember that there isn’t any need to manually find items to repair – the Crafting Menu automatically lists all the damaged items under one single menu.
Players will obviously need to have items needed for the repair job. These can be found anywhere in the world if you know where to look for.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that the game lets players fix damaged as well as completely broken items. All that they need to do is to click on the ‘Hammer’ icon right next to the damaged/broken item to repair it. In addition to repairing, the Crafting Menu also lets players craft a range of other things such as important items, weapons, and armor. Check out our detailed Crafting Recipes Guide for more info.
