Infections in Project Zomboid can be life-threatening which is why it is crucial to avoid them in the first place. But how does one do that? That is where this guide comes in. In this guide, we have detailed all there is to know about how to cure infections in Project Zomboid.
Project Zomboid Cure Infections
The world of Project Zomboid can be unforgiving. The chances of a player catching an infection while roaming in the wild are astronomical.
But what to do after catching an infection?
Sadly, there is nothing the player can do after catching an infection. Therefore, it is a good idea to prevent it from happening.
When scratched by a zombie, immediately disinfect the wound and apply a bandage. Doing so will lower the chances of the wound turning into an infection. Continue to keep the bandage, change it once it gets messed up, rest, and the infection will not spread.
Remember that scratches have a 7% chance of infection while lacerations have a 25% chance. Bites, on the other hand, have a 100% chance of infection.
If a player gets infected, there is literally nothing that can be done. Simply try to store the loot in a safe place and turn into a flesh-eating zombie. Therefore, just do not get bitten.
There are a few different ways of preventing that. The player should have multiple layers of clothes, armor, helmet, and avoid going against multiple zombies at the same time.
This is all we have got in our Project Zomboid Infections guide. For more help on the game, be sure to check out our detailed Project Zomboid wiki page.
