Bravely Default 2 retains a lot of mechanics from its predecessor. The game’s job system largely remains the same, allowing players to choose from a vast range of available jobs. But how does one change jobs in the game?! In this guide, we’ve detailed everything there’s to know about how to change jobs in Bravely Default 2.
Change Jobs in Bravely Default 2
Not all jobs are available from the very start of the game. Players will need to work toward unlocking a majority of them. To help players in experiencing this wide range of jobs that it’s to offer, Bravely Default 2 lets players change jobs on the fly unless they’re in the middle of a battle. The entire thing is a straightforward process.
To begin, players need to bring up a menu by pressing the ‘X’ button and then select the ‘Jobs’ option. In this new menu, select the character that and then choose the job using the d-pad. After selecting a job, press the ‘A’ button to confirm the selection – players will also be asked whether they’d like to select the job as the Main Job or Sub-job. Since a character can hold a maximum of 2 jobs simultaneously, players will definitely enjoy the flexibility offered by the mechanic.
However, there’s a little thing to bear in mind. JP in Bravely Default can only be earned for the Main Job. If players are interested in using the Active Abilities of a Sub-job, they’ll need to use it as a Main Job. Passive Abilities, on the other hand, are completely different. Lastly, as mentioned earlier, jobs can only be changed if a character isn’t in the middle of a battle.
