Yagak is the final boss of Outriders whom we first come across in Utargak. The first encounter is fairly easy and can be completed in no time. After the first encounter, we’ll have to chase him down to The Caravel where the actual and a lot more mechanic fight starts. In this Outriders guide, we’ve detailed everything there’s to know about how to easily beat Yagak in the game.
How to Beat Yagak in Outriders
The initial encounter with Yagak isn’t hard at all. All that we need to do is to play at a distance, avoid the red circles on the ground, use minions to heal up, and continue doing damage. The actual fight happens in The Caravel.
The most important thing that we need to keep in mind while fighting Yagak is that there aren’t any minions that we can kill to heal up which is why we need to play a little passively or use some on-hit healing passives. Most of the attacks during the first phase are well-telegraphed and we can easily avoid them by paying a little attention.
The only thing that can prove a little troublesome is a couple of turrets that fire slow-moving projectiles. We can either continue to dodge these projectiles which is a little risky or immediately destroy these turrets whenever they appear. Other than that, we need to try and avoid any circles that may appear on the ground and not shoot him while he’s got his shield up as it can easily mitigate all incoming damage. We also need to dash away from his targeted lightning strike after he puts his blue shield up.
After damaging him enough, Yagak will teleport to another location. While chasing him, we’ll have a chance to replenish our HP, wait for our cooldowns, etc. and initiate the second phase. During the second phase, Yagak will put up his Rift Turrets a lot more and we’ll need to be quick in dodging everything. He’ll also hurl lightning at us which hurt a lot. He can also use the Grappling Hook to close in distance and land a high-damage combo.
It’s all about practice when it comes to dodging these attacks. Just like the first phase, we need to avoid doing any damage which he’s got his shield up since it’s a waste of ammo. Instead, use this time to heal up and wait for cooldowns. Continue to deal damage and Yagak will go down in no time.
