As you explore the ruins of Salt and Sacrifice, you’ll quickly discover that you’re not alone. The ruins are crawling with deadly creatures, and you’ll need to overcome several challenges if you hope to survive. You’ll face the game’s boss fights among the most daunting challenges. There are many bosses to defeat, but the first you’ll encounter is Uruks Necklace-of-Ears. This fearsome beast can be brutal to defeat, but we’ve gathered some tips and tricks to help you emerge victoriously.
Among the many bosses you will face in Salt and Sacrifice is Uruks Necklace-of-Ears, who you will encounter during the game’s early stages. You can find Uryks at the Greymoss Mire sub-area within Ashbourne Village. To reach Greymoss Mire from the Village, head left to reach the entrance of the Root-Ceil Cavern. Then, make your way down the cavern until you reach Greymoss Mire. Once there, Uryks will be waiting for you. Be prepared for a tough battle, as Uryks is a powerful opponent. But if you are victorious, you will be rewarded with valuable items. So don’t hesitate to take on this challenging boss!
How to Beat Uryks Necklace-of-Ears
Uruks Necklace-of Ears is a reasonably straightforward challenge to compete in as the first boss you face. While his health bar is higher than average, his attacks are easily dodged, and he lacks actual AoE abilities. In addition, his attacks are relatively slow and predictable, giving you plenty of time to react.
In any boss battle, it’s essential to be aware of the enemy’s attack patterns and vulnerabilities. This is especially true when fighting Uruks Necklace-of-Ears, with several slow-windup attacks. You want to dodge the roll underneath and behind him when he begins his wind-up. fThis will let you get in a hit or two, but we don’t recommend going for more in return. Instead, wait for Uruks Necklace-of-Ears to finish his attack, then counter with your own. This pattern can be repeated until you defeat him. In addition, keep your distance and use ranged attacks to weaken him further. With patience and strategic attacking, you can easily defeat Uruks Necklace-of-Ears.
Phase #1
When you’re up against Uryks in Phase 1 of the fight, the best strategy is to focus on avoiding his attacks. He usually starts at the range, waiting for an opportunity to close in and perform a few quick-strike attacks. Next, if you’re at medium range, you’ll see him perform leaping attacks that launch him into the air and close the distance between him and his target. And finally, if you’re within melee range, he’ll use his blade’s hitbox to perform piercing attacks. This is the most dangerous type of attack he’ll perform during this phase of the fight, so it’s essential to avoid getting caught in it. If you do get hit, your health will suffer tremendously.
Phase #2
Things get complicated in the second phase of the Uruks boss fight. Uryks will start performing 3-hit combos that can drain most of your health in seconds. In addition, he’ll be quick-turning and perform a slash attack after his usual jump attacks, making it almost impossible to dodge. The best strategy for this phase is to wait for the attacks and combos to finish before you can land any one of your attacks. Mainly, you’ll be using ranged attacks with ranged weapons during this phase and your equipped Poison Bomb. If you can manage to survive this phase, you’ll be in good shape for the rest of the fight.
