Jack of Hearts in NieR Replicant is a towering creature made of Shade. Players will encounter Jack of Hearts twice throughout the campaign and it’s a menace both times. In this guide, we’ve detailed all there’s to know about how to find and beat Jack of Hearts in NieR Replicant.
NieR Replicant Jack of Hearts Boss
Immediately after the fight begins, try to deal with all the smaller Shades in the area – these can cause a lot of trouble so it’s better to get rid of them at the earliest. Once done, wait for the boss to pound its hands into the ground to create a shockwave. Jump over the shockwave and begin attacking its arms. Remember that it’s also possible to use Dark Lance on its torso. After the Attack Gauge appears, use Dark Lance to destroy it.
Follow the boss toward the marketplace entrance and head up the stairs in order to avoid a series of shockwaves – it’s entirely possible to hit it with a Dark Lance as it’s running. From the top of the stairs, target its arms until another Attack Gauge appears and destroy it.
From there, players will need to proceed toward the Northern Gate. At this time, players will need to target their legs but also ensure to avoid the stomp attack. In addition to this, there will also be homing projectiles that need to be avoided! Destroy another Attack Gauge before proceeding to the library.
Inside the library, continue to deal damage to its legs in order to trigger a final Attack Gauge directly above its head – fire a charged Dark Lance to destroy it and complete the fight.
During the second encounter inside the Library, never stop strafing and keep on destroying Attack Gauges all over its body – it will almost always whiff its tentacle attack if players are strafing around it. As soon as it curls, run away from the area to avoid the spinning attack. After destroying the final Attack Gauge on its head, the fight will conclude.
