How To Beat Giacomo (Dark Crew Leader) In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

You’re not only restricted to playing and defeating the 8 Gym Leaders in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet- but there are also other bosses you must take down, such as the Team Star Bosses. These bosses may be easy to overlook at first, but trust me when I say that you’ll have to face them eventually if you want to beat the game. Fortunately, they tend to come with surprises. So if you’re feeling up for a challenge, your journey begins with Giacomo (the Dark Crew Leader). Here’s a guide on How To Beat Giacomo (Dark Crew Leader) In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet:

Where To Find The Dark Crew Base: The Dark Crew Base, also known as the Segin Squad, can be found in Area One of the West Province. You can find it by traveling to Cascarrafa southside and following the flags on the landscape. Once you reach the base gate, a cutscene will start automatically, and your phone will ring with a call from Cassiopeia. The person behind Operation Starfall remains anonymous for now.

A man you think looks familiar will walk up to you and offer help. He goes by the name Clive, but you’ll soon discover that this person is Director Clavell. You’ll then have to fight one of the two Star Grunts guarding the door before proceeding further. The grunt should be easy enough to defeat, considering they’re at a very low level; however, once you finish with them, a much larger group of grunts will be waiting for you on the other side.

Starting Star Barrage: After selecting your Pokemon team, R bumper will initiate the star Barrage. Your squad must defeat the 30x Team Star Pokemon within a ten-minute time limit. If you play “Let’s Go” mode, this will be easy for you as it is a regular former. However, if you are new to this mode, don’t worry! I’m about to tell you how it works. This mode lets your pokemon fight automatically, and plenty of vending machines nearby can heal them when needed. So, when you are participating in a Star Barrage, be ready to choose your three Pokemon squads carefully!

Your task will be completed once you defeat all 30 Star Pokemon. After that, you can leave the Grunts at any time. The number of Pokemon remaining can be seen at the top of the screen.

How To Beat Giacomo In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

The time has come to take down the group’s boss, Giacomo. He will be using Pawniard, a Dark/Steel type Pokemon at level 21, and Revaroom (Segin Starmobile), also a Dark type Pokemon at level 20. The best Pokemon type to use against Giacomo is Bug/Fair/Fighting. I suggest using the Tarountula, a bug-type Pokemon found in South Province areas one and four.

Be careful not to fall into the trap of underestimating Giacomo’s Revaroom-Segin Starmobile just because of its size. You can take it down easily if you have a Pokémon at the same level and use Pokémon type advantage. For example, if you use a Pokémon that is weak to Dark type, one Wicked Torque attack can put you in deep trouble. But if you’re using the kind of Pokémon I mentioned above, there’s no need to worry.

What rewards will you earn for defeating the Giacomo Dark Crew Leader?
Following are the rewards you will earn after taking down The Giacomo Dark Crew Leader:

  • TM62 Foul Play (Dark Type Move)
  • Badge for Beating Giacomo
  • 5,000 LP
  • Pokemon Materials From Penny

That’s everything you need to know on how to beat this boss. For more on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, here are some more helpful guides:
