How to Avoid Cold in Genshin Impact

Avoiding cold in Genshin Impact can be a bit tricky, especially in the new Dragonspine region. If you stay out in cold for too long, you’ll receive the Sheer Cold status and will eventually die unless you do something about it. This is where this guide comes in. In this guide, we’ve detailed everything you need to know about how to avoid cold in Genshin Impact.

Avoid Cold in Genshin Impact

The following are some helpful ways using which you can reduce cold in the game and keep your entire party warm:

Bonfires
While exploring the world, you’ll come across bonfires that’ll keep you warm and keep the cold meter in check. In addition to this, you can also use the cooking fires in the different campsites to get the same effect.

Goulash Soup
Goulash Soup is a recipe that you can cook in the game to prevent the effects of cold by a little. To make the Goulash Soup in the game, you need to have the following items:

Chilled Meat + Carrot + Tomato

Once made, consume it to lower your cold status by a small amount.

Scarlet Quartz
Scarlet Quartz is needed to destroy the icy formations in the new region but it can also provide a little warmth. Simply pick one up if you see one so that you can decrease the cold meter a little.

Statue of the Seven
Statue of the Seven is another way to completely heal the entire party and remove all the status ailments that they’ve got. All you need to do is to simply stay close to it and viola. However, do note that you must first unlock the Statue of the Seven before using it.

Ruin Braziers
You’ll find a lot of Ruin Braziers in the new region. If you’re close to one, you’ll stay warm. While you’re fighting enemies or bosses, try to lure them close to an active Ruin Brazier to make the fight a lot easier without worrying about the Sheer Cold status.

Teleport Waypoints
Another way to avoid cold in Genshin Impact is by simply heading over to the nearest Teleport Waypoint. For some reason, standing close to a Teleport Waypoint completely removes the Sheer Cold status ailment.
