There are a total of 5 Power Cells that you can find in Horizon: Zero Dawn. You’ll need to find them all and bring them to the Ancient Armory to unlock the secret “Shield Weaver” outfit. Shield Weaver is arguably the best armor you can get in HZD, thanks to its incredible defense, allowing Aloy to be nigh-invincible during the endgame. Horizon: Zero Dawn Power Cells Locations
You can find all of these Power Cells in the game during the main quests. However, none of them are missable. You can always return to these areas after completing the game to acquire them in the free roam.
To make it easier for you, we’ve shared the locations of all the Power Cells in HZD with respect to the main quests they are found in:
Power Cell #1 – Underground Ruins
Quest: N/A
The first one is located in the ruins that you visit as young Aloy during HZD’s prologue. After growing up, return to the area where you found your Focus device and head down the stairs with purple lights to find it – should be in the bottom-right corner of the area.
Power Cell #2 – All Mother Temple
Quest: The Womb of the Mountain
After speaking to Matriarch Teersa, continue to follow her to until you come across a locked door with a ventilation duct nearby that you’ll need to enter to find it. It should be in a side room on the right side.
Power Cell #3 – Maker’s End
Quest: Maker’s End
It should be on the 12th floor at the east side of Faro’s Office.
Power Cell #4 – The Grave Hoard
Quest: The Grave Hoard
This one is fairly easy to find. After solving the ring puzzle, you’ll need to head inside the locked room and find it in plain sight.
Power Cell #5 – GAIA Prime
Quest: The Mountain that Fell
After speaking with Sylens, don’t repel down and head down on the left side on the rocks and find it in the purple area.
