One reason for this particular error to pop up is the DirectX 12 which the game uses by default. To fix the “Unreal Crash” crash error, players have to force the game to run using DirectX 11 and here is how to do it.

Right-click Hood: Outlaws & Legends in Steam library > Properties > General tab > add ‘-dx11’ under Launch Options. Close the window, launch the game and the “Unreal Process has crashed: UE4-Hood” error will be fixed.

In case the “Unreal Process has crashed: UE4-Hood” is still bothering you then your OS might not be updated. Update your Windows OS and players have reported that doing so has fixed the error.

EasyAntiCheat Error, Error 30005, Error 3500 Fix

For the EasyAntiCheat error and Error 30005, go to Hood Outlaws and Legends install folder and delete the EasyAntiCheat.sys file in the EasyAntiCheat folder. Close Steam before deleting the file and then restart the PC afterward. Launch the game from Steam and the EasyAntiCheat error will be fixed.

First, the game only supports Windows 10 64-bit. If you are using a 32-bit Win 10 or an old operating system, then you need to upgrade your OS to play the game. Also, if you haven’t updated your 64-bit OS, then update it as it’ll resolve the issue.

One reason why the game is crashing at startup or not launching is the DirectX 12. The game uses DX12 by default and players need to force DirectX 11 to fix the crash. Right-click Hood: Outlaws & Legends in Steam library > Properties > General tab > add ‘-dx11’ under Launch Options. Launch the game and it’ll run without crashing.

Performance issues like Low FPS, stuttering and random FPS drops common among PC gamers and Hood Outlaws & Legends is no exception. Here is how to fix these issues.

First, make sure you have installed the latest GPU drivers and there no background process using too much CPU, GPU, or HDD.

CUDA GPUs – “All”
Low Latency Mode – Ultra.
Set Power Management to “Prefer Maximum Performance”
Shader Cache – “On” only if you are using an HDD. Don’t need to enable it for an SSD.
Set Texture filtering – Quality to “High Performance”
Triple Buffering – “Off”
Set Vertical Sync to “Use the 3D application setting”

Apply these settings and players will see a noticeable improvement in performance.
