Honkai: Star Rail offers a fairly linear progression system but you will often find your progress halted due to inadequate Trailblaze Level or Account Level. Knowing how to raise your Trailblaze Rank in the game ensures that you get a smooth gameplay experience without any untimely hiccups. It should go without saying but almost everything you do in Honkai: Star Rail will increase your Trailblaze Level by a little. However, there are some tips and tricks that you can employ in your gameplay to make the process go a lot faster.
Increasing Trailblaze Level in Honkai: Star Rail
Aside from a smoother gameplay experience, a higher Trailblaze Level also comes with a bunch of rewards. As you continue to increase your Trailblaze Rank, you will unlock a total of 40 Star Rail Passes, over one thousand Stellar Jade which is needed to pull your favorite characters, 4-star Light Cone Quid Quo, Forgotten Hall, and much more.
Complete the Campaign
The first and the most obvious way of increasing your Trailblaze Level is to just push through the campaign. This is something that does not require you to go out of your way to do and happens as you are progressing naturally. Just focusing on completing the campaign, however, will only take you so far in Honkai: Star Rail. You will eventually hit a brick wall where you will need to increase your Trailblaze Level to access certain story missions. This is where optional activities come into the discussion.
Open Treasure Chests
Another very good way of raising your Trailblaze Level is opening Treasure Chests scattered throughout the overworld. As you are exploring the overworld, you will come across different types of chests like Normal Treasure Chests, Bounties Treasure Chests, etc. Depending on which type of Treasure Chest you open, you are guaranteed some Trailblaze XP which is not half-bad for not a lot of work.
Do Your Daily Training
As we have mentioned in another guide, completing your Daily Training does not take a huge amount of time and is one of the best ways of increasing your Trailblaze Rank. This does require you to login daily but if you are playing a lot, you might as well do this. Along with this, you can also try to complete the Operation Briefings for some more Trailblaze XP.
Purchase Items from Merchants
It may come as a surprise but you can also increase the Trailblaze Level by simply buying items from merchants in Herta’s Space Station. Do note that this does require you to reach certain thresholds to be able to do so but it is a pretty simple way.
Calyx Challenges
Lastly, the most consistent way of earning Trailblaze XP in Honkai: Star Rail is by completing Calyx Challenge. The challenge requires you to defeat waves of enemies, with each wave granting around 50 Trailblaze XP which is massive. However, do note that each wave requires you to spend 10 Trailblaze Power.
Why Should You Increase Trailblaze Level?
Increasing your Trailblaze Level in Honkai: Star Rail has a number of advantages. For instance, certain content can only be accessed if you have got a high enough Trailblaze Level. Aside from this, you will also get different rewards such as Stellar Jade, Relics, among many other things. Another very important thing that a high Trailblaze Level does is increasing your Equilibrium Level. You can think of it as the World Tier which increases the difficulty of enemies that you face in the world, allowing you to farm endgame content and materials more effectively.
