How to Start the Quest
Once you’ve finished Charms and Defence Against the Dark Arts, Professor Weasley will send you to Hogsmeade to get your school supplies. The mission can be initiated if you’ve reached Level 2 and know the Utility spell Reparo, which you’ll get through playing the game. After learning Reparo, open the quest menu and track the Welcome to Hogsmeade quest. The quest marker will take you to Sabastian or Natsai (depending on who you choose earlier while speaking with Professor Weasley).
How to Get to Hogsmeade
When you meet up with Sabastian or Natai, a small conversation will trigger. Choose whatever dialogue options you like to complete the conversion. Once that’s done, you and Sabastian will be able to exit Hogwarts Castle. Follow Sabastian or Natai to get to Hogsmeade. They run a bit slow so this section gets a little annoying. Another conversation will happen with Sabastian or Natai at Hogsmeade before you are free to explore the village.
Objective #1: Visit Ollivanders Shop
Your first objective is to visit the Olilvanders Shop that is right next to where you end your conversation with Sabastian (Or Natai) in Hogsmeade. Head inside the shop and choose your wand. There are options available to you but all are purely cosmetic as they have no impact on gameplay.
You can select your wand’s color, size, materials, and core.
How to Create Harry Potter’s Wand
To create Harry Potter’s Wand make it 11 inches and use the Pheonix Feather as its Core. Potter’s Wand is made out of Holly wood type.
How to Create Ron Weasley’s Wand
To create Ron Weasley’s Wand use Willow wood type and have it be 14 inches long. Use Unicorn Hair as your Wand’s Core.
How to Create Hermione Granger’s Wand
To create Hermione’s Wand you need to use a 10 3/4 inches long Vine Wood. Use Dragon Heart as the Wand’s Core.
How to Create Voldemort’s Want
To create the Dark Lord’s Wand aka Voldemort’s Wand in Hogwarts Legacy, use a 13 1/2 inches Yew Wood with a Phoenix Feather Core.
Objective #2: Visit Tomes and Scrolls
At Tomes and Scrolls you will meet Thomas Brown.
Objective #3: Visit J. Pippin’s Potions
Near the South Hogsmeade Flu Flame location, you will find J. Pippin’s Potions Shop. Head inside the speak with Pippin’s to get Edurus Potion Recipe and the Wiggenweld Potion Recipe for free. After your conversation with him, grab the Potting Table with a Small Pot Spellcraft and the Small Potions Station Spellcraft from his inventory.
Objective #4: The Magic Neep
The next stop is The Magic Neep where you will meet Timothy Teasdale. Have a conversation with him and then select the Dittany Seeds from his inventory to complete this section of Welcome to Hogsmeade.
How to Beat Armor Troll
After The Magic Keep the quest marker will guide you to Sabastian (Or Natai) and when you meet up with them, the armor troll fight will begin. The troll is easy to beat and can be taken down with basic spell casts. All you need to worry about is dodging rolling his attacks. Use environmental objects to your advantage by throwing them on the troll to stun him. Other than that, keep using the basic spell cast attack and dodge roll.
Use Reparo to fix up the village and speak with the shopkeeper before you leave for the next objective.
Objective #4: Visit The Three Broomsticks
The final objective is to visit the Three Broomsticks but on your way there you will overhear a conversation between Victor Rookwood and Ranrok. Both parties are apparently behind the armor troll attack in Hogsmeade. They were planning to use it as destruction to kidnap your character.
The Three Broomsticks section is entirely a cutscene at the end of which you can fast-travel back to Hogwarts Castle. At the end of the Welcome to Hogsmeade quest you will get 260 XP, Ancient Magic Throw, Ancient Magic rewards in Hogwarts Legacy. And that concludes our Welcome to Hogsmede walkthrough!
