Mallowsweet is a resource in Hogwarts Legacy that is needed to start the Merlin Trials. Once completed, these challenges provide increased inventory space which is always a good idea. Once you are introduced to Merlin Trials, you are provided with 5x Mallowsweet but those will not last forever and you will be forced to farm more.

Hogwarts Legacy Unlimited Mallowsweet Farm

There are a few different methods to get Mallowsweet in Hogwarts Legacy. Here is a brief overview of each one:

The Magic Neep

The easiest albeit super-expensive method is to purchase these from The Magic Neep in Hogsmeade. Be mindful, however, that each one will cost 100 Galleons and even if you have a lot of Galleons to burn, the stock availability is an issue. If you need a cheaper alternative, we have got you covered!

Grow Mallowsweet Yourself

A much better method to get Mallowsweet in Hogwarts Legacy is to grow it yourself. To start, progress through the story until you are able to purchase Mallowsweet Seeds from The Magic Neep for 200 Galleons. After that, you will need to purchase a Potting Table with a Large Pot Spellcraft for 1,000 Galleons. If you have a little extra to spend, try to purchase Potting Table with Two Large Pots Spellcraft for 3,000 Galleons as it will allow you to grow 2 Mallowsweet Plants simultaneously.

How to Harvest Mallowsweet

To start, travel to the Room of Requirement and use the Conjuring spell to place the Potting Table with a Large Pot Spellcraft (or the one with Two Pots if have that) wherever you see fit — it should be under the Herbology tab. You will need to have a total of 10x Moonstones to do so.

After that, all that you need to do is to plant Mallowsweet Seeds and wait for like 10 minutes. A small trick that you should do is to use the Fertilizer in order to increase the amount of Mallowsweet that you get at the end.

How to Use

Mallowsweet is needed to initiate Merlin Trials that increase the available inventory space. You are introduced to these Merlin Trials after you meet with Natty near Lower Hogsfield. This is where you will start the Trials of Merlin questline in which Nora Treadwell will show you how to use Mallowsweet in order to initiate a Merlin Trial.

There are a total of 9 types of Merlin Trials that you can complete in Hogwarts Legacy. At the start of the questline, you will get 5x Mallowsweet from Nora Treadwell. Once you have exhausted those, you will need to acquire extra if you wish to continue with Merlin Trials.
