Hogwarts Legacy has become a massive hit in the first week since its launch. While there were controversies around the Hogwarts Legacy, its sales were 64% higher than the previous best-seller, Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone.
Hogwarts Legacy sales are also 80% higher than Elden Ring, which was released around the same time last year. The PS5 version of the game accounts for 82% of all copies sold. The UK all formats retail chart as of 11 February (Compiled by GfK) is as follows:

Interestingly, these numbers only account for physical copies and not digital sales. That data will become available later on. But it is safe to assume that loads of copies were sold digitally. Harry Potter is the 26th biggest video game franchise in the UK, just behind the Forza series but ahead of The Legend of Zelda.

God of War Ragnarok is still very popular and holds its ground because it is part of a popular PS5 hardware bundle. Recently released games that have seen a drop in sales include Dead Space. Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake has also dropped from 10th to 34th place.
