How to Solve Door Puzzle in Hogwarts Legacy?

After you interact with a puzzle door, you will see a number in the middle surrounded by three circles. One of these circles will have a number, one will have a question mark, and the last one will have the engraving of a magical creature. To solve the puzzle, you need to remember that the number in the middle is the sum of everything in the three outer circles. Take a look at this puzzle door as an example:

Hogwarts Legacy Puzzle Doors Solutions

  • 13 = 1 + Spider + ?
  • 21 = 13 + Three-head Snake + ??

This would have been a lot simpler if we knew what numbers these animals represented. Luckily, there is a way to do that. If you head over to the Arithmancy classroom, you will find a note containing a list of all animal symbols and the numbers they represent which makes it exponentially easier to open these puzzle doors.

Hogwarts Legacy Symbols Cheat Sheet

You can name them anything you like, but we decided to go with these:

  • 0: Bird
  • 1: Unicorn
  • 2: Goat
  • 3: Three-headed Snake
  • 4: Owl
  • 5: Spidey-face
  • 6: Lizard
  • 7: Squid
  • 8: Spider
  • 9: Hydra

If you pay attention, you will see that all of these symbols are arranged around the puzzle doors in a clockmise manner — starting from 0 to 9. And so, there is no need to memorize these as you can just look at a door and figure things out. Next to these doors, you will also find dials that cycle through different symbols. Once you have figured out what symbol/number you need, just cycle through the dial until you get the correct one. With that said, here are the solutions of all puzzle doors in Hogwarts Legacy:
