GreedFall Beginners Guide: Tips And Tricks For Getting Started

GreedFall Tips

GreedFall is a massive game that offers the player a lot of flexibility. If you are jumping into the game then you might not be sure of what you are doing. In this GreedFall beginners guide, we are going to give you some tips and tricks so that you can start playing the game with ease.

GreedFall Tips And Tricks

The following are the tips and tricks that you should keep in mind if you just started playing GreedFall:

Starting Talent And Attribute

At the start of the game, after the character customization menu, you will need to choose a class. You will also need to pick a starting talent and attribute. Make sure that you starting talent and attribute complement your starting skill. The game does give your recommendations regarding what you should pick so that is great. You should stick to these recommendations as you only get talents and attributes once every 4-5 levels.

Endurance is the attribute that we recommend for early game. The Talents that you should pick are Vigor or lockpicking. Vigor regenerates your health and mana when you are not in combat. Lockpicking will let you unlock chests and get you better gear in the beginning of the game.

Use Stealth

At the start of the game, you will go through a tutorial on stealth attacks. Use stealth attacks to take out enemies without being detected or taking damage.

Change The Follow-up

Some quests can be completed in more than one way and may have optional objectives as well. Change the follow-up to track the objective that you want to complete.

Change Difficulty Setting

If you are stuck somewhere and need to lower the difficulty then you can do that in the game menu. Easy mode is the story mode. With the easy difficulty selected, your companions will be able to take care of the enemies on their own. The normal settings can provide a bit of a challenge but it is still relatively easy if you have played RGP games in the past.

GreedFall Tips

Look Out For Missions

When around an encampment, you will find a board with posters on it. This is where you can get additional missions. These will get you loot and experience points.

A Lot Of Balance

Balance is a stat that can be increased in GreedFall. If you do not have ample balance then your character will be pushed around a lot and will keep falling down. Increase your balance in order to avoid that. The balance stat also allows you to wear better armor.

Some armor pieces have crafting slots which can be upgraded. You should craft to make your armor better and get better stats. You can also boost your talents.

Block Attacks

Block an incoming attack at the right time and your character will automatically respond with a counter-attack. This can be very useful when you are outnumbered. This only applies to melee weapons. You will have no counter-attack when using magic.

Keep Chest Pieces

Once you have upgraded your chest piece and have found a better one. Make sure to keep the old one. You can stash it away. You never know when you might need that chest piece in order to improve your crafting stat or lockpicking skill by a point or two.

Blocking Bullets

You can avoid bullets by standing behind something or someone. If that is not an option then simply press the block button when you hear the gun being fired.

Pause The Game

During the game, you can pause and view the enemy stats. Doing so does break immersion but it can also give you some vital information.
