God of War: Ragnarok Gale Flame Locations Guide

In God of War: Ragnarok, there is a wide variety of weaponry with unique abilities. The protagonist, Kratos, can fight using his fists, swords, and spear. One of the spears is “The Mighty Draupnir,” which has the power to hit six enemies at once regardless of distance. You obtain this weapon at level five during “The Path: Forging Destiny.” In order to upgrade your Draupnir Spear, you need Gale Flames. In this guide, we will tell you where to find Gale Flames in God of War: Ragnarok.

Draupnir Spear might appear late in the game but upgrading this weapon is quite easy as compared to other ones. Below I’ve mentioned where to find all four Gale Flames:

Gale Flame #1
“The Summoning” is the main storyline, and you need to unlock Draupnir for it. In order to do that, though, you have to reach Muspelheim and convince him to be your ally. To get the first Gale Flame, you need to take down both Hrist and Mist in Muspelheim.

Gale Flame #2
After you save Freyr in Vanaheim, look for Birgir near The Crater. Once you reach the Celestial Altar, change the time to night. Now dying animals will appear in The Plains by the large tree. Use your Blades of Chaos on the “Nocturnal Predator” quest; but first, interrogate them. When you complete the “Nocturnal Predator” quest, you will earn Gale Flame as a reward.

Gale Flame #3
The Berserker Gravestone is located near the Nine Realms in Vanaheim. Head to Jarnsmida Pitmines to activate the gravestone, and Bodvar (The Fierce) and Starolfr (The Troublesome) will be waiting for you. After defeating these enemies, you can claim your third Gale Flame.

Gale Flame #4
In the Yggdrasil, if you find and close all of the Rifts, you can prevent the Nidhogg from getting out. The task is given by a squirrel, who asks you to stop the Lindwyrms from escaping through the rifts. As a reward, you will get the Gale Flame.

These are the locations of all the Gale Flames in God of War: Ragnarok. For more tips and strategies, you can check out our detailed God of War: Ragnarok wiki page.
